About this course
Build on your existing beadweaving skills to learn more complex stitches and create a range of jewellery pieces
You’ll be guided through three main projects: a St. Petersburg stitch pendant or pair of earrings, a tubular herringbone bracelet, and a necklace using beaded netting.
You’ll continue working with seed beads, beading thread, and a needle, but explore new design possibilities with these decorative stitches. Along the way, you’ll also develop your confidence in pattern reading, bead choice, and jewellery finishing techniques.
This course is ideal if you’ve completed the beginners’ beadweaving course or have basic bead weaving experience.
What will learners achieve by the end of the course?
• Follow a pattern to create a St. Petersburg stitch beaded component for earrings or a pendant.
• Complete a beaded bracelet using tubular herringbone stitch
• Create a beaded netting structure for a necklace design.
• Be able to add new thread into a design
• Finish each piece securely by attaching appropriate clasps or findings.
