Stapleford Library and Learning Centre

Welcome to Stapleford Library and Learning Centre, situated at the heart of the town centre. Our friendly team are always happy to welcome and assist you with your queries. We have an extensive range of adult and children’s books and audio books, plus Arthur Mee collection and extensive local studies collection. We also offer public PCs for both adults and children, with printing, photocopying and scanning facilities available. Free WiFi is also available for library members, and there are study areas around the library.

Our library activities offer something for all, whatever your needs. Whether you want to come and spend some quiet time helping us complete our jigsaw, join in with some of our events, or even just take a seat and read a book – everyone is welcome. We have frequent child activities throughout the year, especially during school holidays, including colouring, crafts and the occasional competition. For pre-schoolers, our ever popular Rattle, Rhyme and Roll sessions run every week from 11.15am – 11.45am.

For anyone looking for work or needing help with their CV, our Job Club runs every Tuesday from 10am – 12pm where you can access support and guidance to make your journey into work that bit easier. We are also looking forward to starting up our new Places of Welcome sessions in August; these friendly groups are a great way to get out and meet new friends over a free cuppa and biscuits, check our events listings for more details.

Following our recent refurbishment made possible by an investment by the Stapleford Town Fund, we can now also offer three new learning spaces to our existing meeting room to enhance our Inspire Adult Learning programme. Whether you want to fit in a new hobby or learn a new skill, we can offer a high-quality learning experience in a comfortable and welcoming venue.

Stapleford library, introducing the new learning centre

We are changing book suppliers!

While we transition to our new supplier, there will be a short period where we will be unable to order new titles published from April onwards. We will get this back up and running as soon as possible and apologise for any inconvenience caused.

Stapleford Library Refurbishment Works

Further refurbishments are taking place at Stapleford Library and Learning Centre from the 26th March to improve signage and outdoor space at the front of the building. Work is set to last for ten weeks. The library and learning centre will remain open throughout this time but our car park will be closed to customers to ensure health and safety around the site. Alternative car parks can be found at Cliff Hill Avenue and Eatons Road. Click here to find out more about alternative parking.

Customers will temporarily have to use the rear entrance for access to the library. Please note there may also be more noise than usual during the works.
