About this course

About this course

Do you want to become your own money saving expert?

What to know which websites to check for the latest money saving deals?

Just want help with the numbers to help understand the offers available?

If so, Budgeting tips & tricks is for you.

These sessions have been designed to signpost you to useful money having websites but also to explain the ‘maths’ behind the deals. Your tutor will help boost your confidence with numbers so you can save money.

What will be covered on the course?

You will,

• look at different money saving deals and work out the saving

• group activities will allow you to recap maths calculations needed to understand what different deals offer

What will learners achieve by the end of the course?

By boosting your confidence with, adding, subtracting, finding totals and percentages, you will be able to look at a deal and using ‘a bit of maths’ work out how much you can save.

Once you have completed this course you could transfer onto another Multiply course. For example,

- Getting Ready for Functional Maths

- Helping Your Child with Primary Maths

You can also consider gaining an accredited Functional Skills Maths qualification.

This course is for people who don’t already have a level 2 qualification in maths (GCSE C/4 or above) or do but are not confident in using maths at this level.

This is an online course. You will need access to a computer and Zoom.
