About this course

This course will help you to plan, design and produce ideas for Christmas cards and envelopes using one or more calligraphy hands. Using mainly Foundational and Uncial scripts, you will learn how to produce an exciting alternative to shop brought cards. This course is not suitable for complete beginners; you will need to have attended the Calligraphy for Beginner Course prior to attending. There is plenty of help, individual demonstration and guidance throughout the sessions. We use Calligraphy Markers (and not dip ink pens) which are easy to use for either right- or left-handed writers. You’ll learn how to create ‘ribbon’ trees and holly leaves, layout and transferring designs to cards. We’ll explore how to use calligraphy for envelopes too.
