About this course

On this course you’ll be learning how to build a vase, a house and an animal. Using air dry clay is a fun and easy way to create your own designs where you don’t need the use of a kiln. This course will expand your ceramic skills for creating your very own designed vase, house and animal. You’ll also be able to decorate them using acrylic paints. Over the course of the 6 weeks, you will learn about artists and designers who work with clay and the tools they use. You will also learn how to successfully design and develop ideas to make your designs and building a vase, house and animal using the air dry clay. Furthermore, you will be able to decorate them using acrylic paints. By the end of the course, you will: Build more confidence using clay techniques. Build more confidence using tools and equipment for clay. Create your very own textured decorative vase, house and animal. Understand and be able to use acrylic paints to design and decorate your work. Build confidence in working with others to help integrate into a work environment. Understand costing your work for selling purposes.
