About this course

This course will help build on foundations from the beginners' course or for those who already have some experience in writing and need a refresher. Come and try techniques used to “keep a reader interested”. This course will also help you with your writing ability as a hobby or for publication.

Over the duration of the course, we will look at:

- Awareness of types of creative writing –fiction/flash fiction and poetry

- Analysis of published work

- Consider appropriate content and vocabulary

- Types of audience

- Editing of work

- Techniques in creative writing

You will need a notepad and pen and may wish to access free online resources available from the National Centre for Writing

As this course is online, a suitable device such as laptop, smart phone, tablet or computer will be required to access the course. Zoom will be used for the live sessions and the link will be sent to you once your enrolment has been completed.
