About this course

Develop your creative writing skills by noticing moments and images, and capture them in writing, You will explore structure such as poetry and limited amounts of words.

What will be covered on the course?

Imagery
Metaphor, simile and personification
Haiku and tanka
Shape poems
Flash fiction

What will learners achieve by the end of the course?

To recall technical terms
To discuss the use of effective language in a piece of writing
To demonstrate understanding by writing in different forms
To experiment with use of language in pieces of writing
To evaluate effectiveness of peers’ work
To create a piece of snapshot writing
