Our awareness of how precious our natural surroundings are, means more people than ever want to capture nature with their pen.
This 3-session course gives you the chance to write about and connect with the natural environment of Sherwood Forest, whether that’s through your family history, memory or your experience of the forest. The course is open to everyone, whether you are a beginner, or have done creative writing before.
The sessions focus on nature writing up close and local. We will look at different ways to approach nature writing and use a variety of prompts to kickstart your writing. We will try out a number of techniques that bring your writing to life such as simile, metaphor and writing vivid descriptions.
