About this course

On this course you will achieve a range of Hand Embroidery samples and use these to create different products.  You will create a portfolio of work which demonstrates skills achieved on the course. You will gain a better understanding of the Sherwood Forest area, and the nature which inhabits this. No prior knowledge is needed for this course.

On this course you will learn about:

• The History and Culture of Hand Embroidery 
• Basic Embroidery Techniques 
• Embroidery Designs using Nature for Inspiration
• Planning, Designing and Creating Hand Embroidery Projects 

Learners may wish to bring their own sewing kits and fabrics.

Please note, this course takes place at Dynamo House, a short walk from the main car park on Park Road, Bestwood Country Park.

To secure your place on the course BOTH the following must be done:

• Complete the EVENTBRITE BOOKING.
• Complete our INSPIRE ONLINE ENROLMENT FORM for each person attending the course.

To book and enrol on one of our courses, you must have been living in England and have been resident in the UK for the past 3 years.

Some exceptions may apply if you are living in England with evidence of the right to remain and are from an EEU/EEAU country (completion of a questionnaire will be required).

As we no longer receive funding for our ESFA-funded courses for learners living in the devolved areas listed below, full cost fees would apply to these courses if you live in these areas:
