Flower Arranging for Improvers - Online Course - Community Learning - 10:00-12:00

About this course

Student will learn the art of flower arranging, this course is aimed at learners who have some knowledge and experience in flower arranging.   They will be helpful advice  and training about floral designs and obtain useful information on preparing cut flowers and suitable foliage for flower arranging.   Each session learners will create their own design to decorate their home or give to others as gifts. 

What will be covered on the course?  What will be taught to learners? 

• Identifying and naming flowers and foliage used each session. 
• Learning correct principles of floral design. 
• Creating a floral arrangement each session. 
• Learn new techniques shown 

What will learners achieve by the end of the course? 

• Learners will be able to create several floral designs. 
• Identify suitable foliage’s 
• Understand how to soak and secure oasis. 
• Condition and prepare flowers correctly for a design. 

For the first session you will need:

• Ribbon available from amazon e bay etc.  
• Sharpe scissors  
• Oasis 
• 5 roses 
• 2 long stems of foliage, plus short filler foliage from the garden 
• Small saucer for container 
• Oasis tape  

As this course is online, a suitable device such as laptop, smart phone, tablet or computer will be required to access the course.  Zoom will be used for the live sessions and the link will be sent to you once your enrolment has been completed.

To book and enrol on one of our courses, you must have been a resident in the UK for the past 3 years.

Some exceptions may apply if you are living in the UK with evidence of the right to remain and are from an EEU/EEAU country (completion of a questionnaire will be required).

As we no longer receive funding for our ESFA-funded courses for learners living in the devolved areas listed below, full cost fees would apply to these courses if you live in these areas:

Cambridgeshire and Peterborough, Greater Manchester, Greater London, Liverpool City Region, Tees Valley, West Midlands and West of England.
