Do you want to become your own money saving expert just before the expensive last minute Christmas rush?
Want to know which websites to check for targeted money saving deals?
Just want help with the numbers to understand the offers available?
If so, this course is for you.
What are the aims of the course?
This one-off session has been designed to signpost you to which organisations have money-saving offers and where to find them. Is it better to travel and purchase in person or to access websites? The session will explain the ‘maths’ behind the deals. Your tutor will help boost your confidence with numbers so you can save money.
What will be covered on the course?
You will,
look at different money saving deals and work out the saving compared to the usual RRP.
Carry out group activities, allowing you to recap the maths calculations needed to understand the different deals.
What will learners achieve by the end of the course?
By boosting your confidence with adding, subtracting, finding totals and percentages, you will be able to look at a deal and use ‘a bit of maths’ to work out how much you can save at an often-crucial time of year.
What skills or knowledge do learners already need to have to attend the course?
This course is for people who don’t have a level 2 qualification in maths (GCSE C/4 or above). You will self-declare this on the enrolment form
Will the learner receive anything free for attending?
On completion of this course, you will be entered for a prize draw. If successful, you will win food shopping vouchers.
