Ever wanted to learn guitar but don't know where to start? Our guitar for beginners course at Worksop Library is aimed at adults who would like to begin their journey of learning the guitar, for those wanting to learn the basics, ready to keep building on into the future.
Learners will cover everything from learning chords, left hand technique, strumming and finger picking, reading TAB/musical notation and ultimately playing along to well-known songs and pieces. The course will move at a steady pace, helping learners to continue progressing throughout the duration of the course. Lessons will be focused on acoustic guitar technique; however, this can be transferred onto the electric guitar if desired.
Learners need to have tuned 6 string guitar ready for the first session. A plectrum would also be useful. Here is a useful link for how to tune your guitar.
