About this course

What are the aims of the course?

To enjoy making Halloween themed crafts whilst sneaking in a bit of maths practice.

What will be covered on the course?

You will use the concepts of weighing, measuring, proportion, shape and symmetry in a practical way to create fun crafts that you can recreate at home.

What will learners achieve by the end of the course?

You will have used the skills named above to create crafts in an accurate way.

You will be able to:

Accurately weigh and proportion the dry ingredients for Halloween cookies
Use measure and symmetry to make an Autumn paper leaf display
Use measure and shapes to create paper pumpkin decorations

As you widen and develop your confidence with maths you could consider enrolling on a Functional Skills Maths qualification.

What skills or knowledge do learners already need to have to attend the course?

None!

This course is for people who don’t have a level 2 qualification in maths (GCSE C/4 or above). You will self-declare this on the enrolment form

This is an adult only course.

On completion, you will be entered into a prize draw. The winner will receive food shopping vouchers.
