This course will provide an overview, discussion, understanding and analysis of the processes involved in the digestion of food and cellular respiration.
What will be covered on the course?
A detailed discussion, viewing and tracing the journey involved when we put food into our mouth and the body’s chemicals required in breaking down fats, carbohydrates and proteins into food molecules.
We will also discuss cellular respiration (aerobic and anaerobic) and examples of anaerobic respiration in the body and in the food industry.
By the end of the course, you will:
• Understand what digestion is
• Review, analyse and discuss the chemical processes involved in the digestive System
• Analyse what cellular respiration is (aerobic and anaerobic)
• Review examples of anaerobic respiration during activity and utilised in the food industry
What skills or knowledge do you already need to have to attend the course?
The course is aimed at people with little knowledge of human digestion.

As this course is online, a suitable device such as laptop, smart phone, tablet or computer will be required to access the course. Zoom will be used for the live sessions and the link will be sent to you once your enrolment has been completed.
