Ink Drawing for Improvers - Online Courses - Adult Learning

Ink Drawing for All – Improvers is designed for learners who have some experience with innk drawing and are ready to develop their skills further. Through a series of practical exercices and creative projects, you will refine your use of line, tone, texture, and composition while exploring a wide range of ink drawing techniques.

Working from subjects such as still life, landscapes, and figures, you will learn how to create greater depth, detail and expression in your drawing. The course encourages experimentation with different tools and approaches, helping you build confidence, and improve technical abilities.

By the end of the course, you will have completed a collection of more accomplished ink drawings and gained a stronger understanding of how to use ink as a versatile and expressive medium.

By the end of this 6-week course, learners will be able to:

• Apply a range of ink drawing techniques.

• Select and use appropriate ink drawing materials and tool to achieve different artistic effects and expressive qualities

• Produce expressive observational drawings from photographic references.

• Develop and complete originall ink drawings that demonstrate decision making, technical skills

• Evaluate and reflect on personal artwork to identify strengths and areas for development.

• Participate in peers and self-critique to increase your confidence and analytical mindset

To book and join one of our courses, you must live in England permanently and either:

• Live inside the East Midlands Combined County Authority (EMCCA) area (Nottinghamshire or Derbyshire)

or

• Live outside the devolved areas listed below

You cannot enrol if you live in these devolved areas:

Residency Requirements (Additional Information)

If you live in the UK on a visa, we’ll need evidence of your visa to confirm funding. You can upload this when applying, and you’ll need to complete a short questionnaire.

Some exceptions include:

• Your visa must last until after your course ends.

• Asylum seekers must have lived in the UK for at least 6 months while their claim is being processed.

• You are supported by your local authority under Section 23C or 23CA of the Children Act 1989, or under the Care Act 2014.

Anyone who does not meet the funding criteria would need to pay full course fees.
