About this course
During this 2.5 hour session, learners will be introduced to the skills, abilities and knowledge required within the role of working with children and for learners to be able to identify their next step.
By the end of the course, learners will have a knowledge of the requirements to further their career in working with children. This will include personal qualities and also qualifications required for the next step.
Topics include:
- Introducing the variety of children’s settings that they can work in.
- Communication skills needed to work with children and how to present as a good role model.
- Basic skills and knowledge to enable learners to work with children.
- DBS checks will be explained and a brief explanation of children’s workers to safeguard children.
- The next steps: What training courses are available to move on to to enhance their qualifications and career.
All students will need access to zoom, pen and notepaper
To secure your place on the course BOTH the following must be done:
- Complete the EVENTBRITE BOOKING
- Complete our INSPIRE ONLINE ENROLMENT FORM for each person attending the course.
You should be redirected to the Inspire Online Enrolment Form after completing the Eventbrite booking. If you are not redirected, please use the link supplied in the Eventbrite booking confirmation email.
To book and enrol on one of our courses, you must have been a resident in the UK for the past 3 years.
Some exceptions may apply if you are living in the UK with evidence of the right to remain and are from an EEU/EEAU country (completion of a questionnaire will be required).
As we no longer receive funding for our ESFA-funded courses for learners living in the devolved areas listed below, full cost fees would apply to these courses if you live in these areas: Cambridgeshire and Peterborough, Greater Manchester, Greater London, Liverpool City Region, Tees Valley, West Midlands and West of England.
