About this course

About this course

The course is designed to teach a range of jewellery skills, as well as designing techniques, so that learners can make a range of well-designed jewellery items.  Learners will also be able to understand recycling techniques and make items, using less-traditional and recycled materials and techniques.

On this course, you will look at how to work safely and alternative skills and design approaches. You will be able to understand how to design with contrasting or harmonious colours, as well as use tools and materials safely. You will analyse different world designs and purposes and analyse how to create your own beads, understanding the value of materials including recycled materials, in order to remake and repurpose materials in jewellery design. You will be able to combine techniques and use a range of materials to create a unique jewellery set.

Bring any broken jewellery, bits and bobs to remake.
