About this course

About this course

On this course, you will learn a range of jewellery making skills, along with design techniques so that you are able to make a range of well-designed jewellery items.  We will look at recycling techniques and make items using less traditional, recycled materials.

We will look at how to work safely and alternative approaches to skills and design. We will examine designs with contrasting or harmonious colours, as well as use tools and materials safely. We will analyse different world designs and purposes and analyse how to create their own beads.  An understanding of the value of materials including recycled materials, in order to remake and repurpose materials in jewellery design will be developed by attending this course. By the end of the course, you will be able to combine techniques and use a range of materials to create a unique jewellery set.

Please bring broken jewellery to remake, if you have any.

  • Making beautiful bead & wire jewelry: 30 step-by-step projects from materials old and new - Author: Jones, Linda.
