About this course

Have you always wanted to learn how to play the keyboard but didn't know how to get started? This course will do just that, teaching you about the instrument and how to play with the correct posture, how to understand basic music theory and identify which genres of music you are interested in.

This course will help you to nurture your musicianship and enable you to play simple pieces of music by the end of the course. You will also be able to:

Know the instrument and how to play with proper posture
Understand basic music theory
Be able to sight-red music
Understand the character and style of different music periods
Be able to understand all of the information on the music sheet
Develop a good sense of rhythm, articulation and dynamic.

You will need:

Tutorial book “Alfred’s basic adult piano course level1”
Piano/Keyboard
Metronome or Metronome app

As this course is online, a suitable device such as laptop, smart phone, tablet or computer will be required to access the course. Zoom will be used for the live sessions and the link will be sent to you once your enrolment has been completed.

To book and enrol on one of our courses, you must have been living in England and have been resident in the UK for the past 3 years.

Some exceptions may apply if you are living in England with evidence of the right to remain and are from an EEU/EEAU country (completion of a questionnaire will be required).
