About this course

This course aims to introduce the learner to many different relaxation techniques for managing thoughts and emotions, calming techniques for the body and ways to increase self-care and compassion.  

During the course, we will cover: 

• Understanding your meaning of what relaxation looks and feels like and what creates anxiety and tension.  
• Notice the stories created by the mind and thinking traps into which we fall.  
• Learn tools to let go of unhelpful thoughts.  
• Develop skills for Emotional self-regulation. 
• Practice techniques for releasing tension in the body 
• Self-care and self-compassion 

Resources to bring to this course

• Pens and blank paper, if possible coloured pens or pencils.    
• A smartphone or internet-enabled device.  
• If you have one, your library card to connect to the internet.

To book and enrol on one of our courses, you must have been living in England and have been resident in the UK for the past 3 years.

Some exceptions may apply if you are living in England with evidence of the right to remain and are from an EEU/EEAU country (completion of a questionnaire will be required).
