This face-to-face 3-week course will cover the basics of smartphone functions and settings. It is aimed at people new to smartphones who just want to know a little more about their smartphone and how to set the phone up for their personal use.
Course Content
By the end of this course, you will be able to connect to wi-fi, adjust basic phone settings and take photographs.
Who is it suitable for?
This is a beginner’s course for Learners +19 who are new to smartphones and want to learn more about the device’s functions.
Learners will need to bring their own smartphone so they can adjust and learn how to use their smartphone functions.

- Get back to work: The digital toolkit
During this 3-week face-to-face course, you will become more confident in using the internet to search for information, set-up an email account and learn about video conferencing.
- Learn key computer skills (emails, the internet and e-safety)
This 3-week course is aimed at computer beginners to enable them to develop the key digital skills they need to access the online world.

By improving your digital skills, you could unlock new job opportunities and boost your confidence in using digital devices.

To book and enrol on one of our courses, you must have been living in England and have been resident in the UK for the past 3 years.
Some exceptions may apply if you are living in England with evidence of the right to remain and are from an EEU/EEAU country (completion of a questionnaire will be required).
As we no longer receive funding for our ESFA-funded courses for learners living in the devolved areas listed below, full cost fees would apply to these courses if you live in these areas:
