On this course, you will learn maths skills that are useful in everyday life and grow in confidence using maths, whilst working towards a City & Guilds qualification at a level that is right for you. Topics include basic number calculations, measurements, shape and space and data. At the start of the course, you will complete a task to help you and your tutor understand your starting point and this will help you and your tutor decide which level you will work towards, from Entry level to Level 2. Your City & Guilds assessment will usually take place during the final week of your course.
This course runs for 19 weeks, in a Nottinghamshire library or community venue, with your City & Guilds assessment taking place during the final week of the course. We will adhere to government guidance and you will be kept informed of measures in place to keep you and others safe throughout the course. The sessions will take place during Nottinghamshire school term time only.
Please bring paper, pen, pencil, ruler and a calculator with you if you can. You may also want to bring your own laptop to complete work but we will provide one for you at the sessions if needed.

To book and enrol on one of our courses, you must have been living in England and have been resident in the UK for the past 3 years.
Some exceptions may apply if you are living in England with evidence of the right to remain and are from an EEU/EEAU country (completion of a questionnaire will be required).
