Music Theory for Beginners - Online Course - Community Learning - 18:00-19:00

About this course

On this course we will provide an introduction to the basic principles of music theory by looking at the fundamental principles in practice.

By the end of this course, you will have knowledge of:

• The stave and bar lines 
• Note names and rests 
• Time values and time signatures 
• Treble / Bass Clef 
• Introduction to key signatures 
• Ties and dots 

ABRSM music Theory in Practice - Grade 1 

This course will not be running on the 16th February (half term).  

This is an online course. A suitable electronic device such as a laptop, tablet or smartphone with internet access will be required. Learners will be required to download and use Zoom (free software).

To secure your place on the course BOTH the following must be done:

• Complete the EVENTBRITE BOOKING.
• Complete our INSPIRE ONLINE ENROLMENT FORM for each person attending the course.

To book and enrol on one of our courses, you must have been a resident in the UK for the past 3 years.

Some exceptions may apply if you are living in the UK with evidence of the right to remain and are from an EEU/EEAU country (completion of a questionnaire will be required).

As we no longer receive funding for our ESFA-funded courses for learners living in the devolved areas listed below, full cost fees would apply to these courses if you live in these areas:

Cambridgeshire and Peterborough, Greater Manchester, Greater London, Liverpool City Region, Tees Valley, West Midlands and West of England.
