About this course

This course is for anyone with an interest in nature conservation.  It aims to highlight the value of managing grassland areas for the benefit of wildlife, looking at techniques, constraints and any issues associated with these habitat types. Plus how to manage these areas with a view to incorporating them in the development of sustainable opportunities.

On this course you will learn about the identification of plant species and associated animal communities, management techniques, removal of problem species and the benefits this all brings to wildlife. 

Appropriate clothing and footwear for outdoor work - part of the course will involve the undertaking of physical work to remove plant species.

To book and enrol on one of our courses, you must have been living in England and have been resident in the UK for the past 3 years.

Some exceptions may apply if you are living in England with evidence of the right to remain and are from an EEU/EEAU country (completion of a questionnaire will be required).
