About this course

The new year often gets us thinking about resolutions, making the most of an activity we love. Most of us need help to make that happen, and this course aims to give you encouragement and focus to stretch yourself and try out new poetic ideas. This 5-session course is at Intermediate level, for those who have written and shared their poetry before.

During the course, we will cover: - Close reading of others’ poems and taking inspiration for your own work  - Experimenting with forms you have not tried before    - Linking the shape and form of your poem to what you want to say  - Developing your use of techniques such as metaphor in your poems  - Develop skills of giving and receiving feedback in the group  - How to give (and receive) constructive feedback

What you will need to bring to the course:

A pen and A4 notebook
