This is an excellent course to improve your own and other people’s general wellbeing. We are currently seeing unprecedented levels of psychological distress. People need advice, help and support. Learn techniques to manage your own and others’ anxiety, build confidence, identify barriers and goals. Learn Life coaching skills to coach yourself and others to achieve identified goals. Use learnt skills to make an action plan back into employment, career change, volunteering or starting your own business.
What will learners achieve by the end of the course?
WK1- Induction and Initial assessment. Identify 2 personal goals. Understand 5 steps of Maslow’s hierarchy of needs and apply to self.
WK2 – Understand the anxiety cycle-triggers-physical-thoughts-feelings, behaviours and apply learnt management techniques daily.
WK3 – Identity. Strengths, weakness, Identify and organise values and beliefs. Challenge limiting beliefs.
WK4 – Understand the 3 building blocks of confidence. Analyse and plan ways to overcome barriers and build each box.
WK 5 – Learn the 4 steps of The GROW Model. Create action plan to achieve 2 goals.
WK 6 – What is Life Coaching. Reflect on your learning.
Set goals and create action plans. Recognise key learning, apply learning about self-management techniques, continue to achieve set goals, and plan new ones. – Progression and sign posting (IAG) Continue to use IAG support for careers advice and employability as well as enrolment on identified courses.
As this course is online, a suitable device such as laptop or computer will be required to access the course. Working from a tablet or phone will not be possible. The link for you to join the live sessions will be sent to you once your enrolment has been completed.

To book and join one of our courses, you must live in England permanently and either:
Live inside the East Midlands Combined County Authority (EMCCA) area (Nottinghamshire or Derbyshire)
or
Live outside the devolved areas listed below

Residency Requirements (Additional Information)
If you live in the UK on a visa, we’ll need evidence of your visa to confirm funding. You can upload this when applying, and you’ll need to complete a short questionnaire.
Some exceptions include:
Your visa must last until after your course ends.
Asylum seekers must have lived in the UK for at least 6 months while their claim is being processed.
You are supported by your local authority under Section 23C or 23CA of the Children Act 1989, or under the Care Act 2014.
Anyone who does not meet the funding criteria would need to pay full course fees.
