Personal Development and Life Coaching - Online Courses - Adult Learning

This is an excellent course to improve your own and other people’s general wellbeing. We are currently seeing unprecedented levels of psychological distress. People need advice, help, and support. Learn techniques to manage your own and others’ anxiety, build confidence, identify barriers and goals. Learn Life coaching skills to coach yourself and others to achieve identified goals. Use learnt skills to make an action plan back into employment, career change, volunteering, or starting your own business.

Learn skills to help self and others to improve their general wellbeing, overcome barriers, identify and achieve goals. Improved my own personal development and learnt skills and techniques to coach self and others. Have gained clarity and knowledge of self and have an action plan to move forward and achieve identified goals. Will have progression plan leading to for example Higher education, Volunteering, Employment, Career change or Business start-up.

What will learners achieve by the end of the course?

• Identify 2 personal goals.

• Understand 5 steps of Maslow’s hierarchy of needs and apply to self.

• Understand the anxiety cycle-triggers-physical-thoughts-feelings, behaviours and apply learnt management techniques daily.

• Identify and organise values and beliefs.

• Challenge limiting beliefs.

• Understand the 3 building blocks of confidence.

• Analyse and plan ways to overcome barriers and build each box.

• Learn the 4 steps of The GROW Model. Create action plan to

• Set goals and create action plan.

• Recognise key learning, apply learning about self-management techniques, continue to achieve set goals and plan new ones.

• Progression and sign posting (IAG) Continue to use IAG support for careers advice and employability as well as enrolment on identified courses.

As this course is online, a suitable device such as laptop or computer will be required to access the course. The link for you to join the live sessions will be sent to you once your enrolment and Initial assessment has taken place to ensure that the course is the correct selection for you, where this is not the case you will be advisied what may be the best route for you.

Living in England

To book and join one of our courses, you must live in England permanently and either:

• Live inside the East Midlands Combined County Authority (EMCCA) area (Nottinghamshire or Derbyshire)

or

• Live outside the devolved areas listed below

You cannot enrol if you live in these devolved areas:

• Greater Manchester Combined Authority (GMCA)

• Liverpool City Region Combined Authority

• South Yorkshire Mayoral Combined Authority

• Tees Valley Combined Authority

• West Midlands Combined Authority

• West of England Combined Authority

Residency Requirements (Additional Information)

If you live in the UK on a visa, we’ll need evidence of your visa to confirm funding. You can upload this when applying, and you’ll need to complete a short questionnaire.

Some exceptions include:

• Your visa must last until after your course ends.

• Asylum seekers must have lived in the UK for at least 6 months while their claim is being processed.

• You are supported by your local authority under Section 23C or 23CA of the Children Act 1989, or under the Care Act 2014.

Anyone who does not meet the funding criteria would need to pay full course fees.
