About this course

This course is for people who have completed the Photo Editing for Beginners course with Inspire Learning or have a basic understanding of GIMP software. You will use free computer software (GIMP) to make changes to improve and enhance your digital photos. This will include creating new artwork from multiple photos.

During the course, we will cover:

Selective re colourisation
Using masks for selection, blending images and other creative techniques
Photo-composites, using layers and masks
NOTE: this is not a photography course, we will not be taking any photographs

Resources required by attendees

Laptops can be provided, but leaners may bring their own windows or Apple laptops at their own risk.

(note: chromebooks and tablet style computers are not suitable as GIMP is not available on these)

To book and enrol on one of our courses, you must have been living in England and have been resident in the UK for the past 3 years.

Some exceptions may apply if you are living in England with evidence of the right to remain and are from an EEU/EEAU country (completion of a questionnaire will be required).
