Do you want to develop your own garden, or a patch of community land?
Want to know which quantities and proportions are needed?
Want to maximise each square metre and be cost effective?
If so, then Prepare to Plant is for you.
This course is designed to be interactive, rather than gaining tips from a television or radio expert. We will look at plot dimensions, angles of light, proportions of seed to water and compost, amongst other things. Your tutor will help boost your confidence with the relevant gardening numbers so you can become an efficient gardener.
On this course, you will:
• look at what you’ll need to transform a domestic or community plot of land.
• Participate in group activities allowing you to understand what is needed to sow and grow.
This is a classroom course which focuses on theory and planning.
By the end of the course, you will have the skills and confidence to develop your garden or community plot, whilst implementing a range of maths skills.
This course is for people who don’t have a level 2 qualification in maths (GCSE C/4 or above). You will self-declare this on the enrolment form.
