When you feel happy, sad, anxious or surprised, what’s really going on? What are emotions? How does the brain make them? How can emotions be mastered? These are just some of the questions this short course will attempt to answer as learners will be introduced to some of the psychological theories of emotion.
This course will focus on emotions and explore if they are universally pre-programmed in our brain and bodies, or if they are constructed?
We will look at the difference between thoughts and feelings and discuss how emotions are experienced consciously and unconsciously, and how each person experiences emotion differently.
We will also touch on how people may be able to change their emotions.
What will learners achieve by the end of the course?
