About this course

About this course

Shoden is a traditional Japanese Reiki that is accessible to all age groups.  Through this course, you will learn the beginning teachings in Usui Reiki and will become qualified to practice Reiki on yourself, friends and family.


This course is for absolute beginners - no previous knowledge is required to join.  During the course, we will explore:

- Energy exercises, including: Three Diamonds, Energy Ball and Hatsurei Ho

- Meditation practices

- Self-Reiki techniques

- Pair work Reiki techniques and hand positions


You will start working with the Reiki Precepts  and repeat them each week to help you integrate the practices into your daily life.


Please dress in loose comfortable clothing.

Learners may wish to bring a blanket or jumper as temperature may drop during meditation.

To secure your place on the course BOTH the following must be done:

  • Complete the EVENTBRITE BOOKING.
  • Complete our INSPIRE ONLINE ENROLMENT FORM for each person attending the course.

To book and enrol on one of our courses, you must have been living in England and have been resident in the UK for the past 3 years.

Some exceptions may apply if you are living in England with evidence of the right to remain and are from an EEU/EEAU country (completion of a questionnaire will be required).

As we no longer receive funding for our ESFA-funded courses for learners living in the devolved areas listed below, full cost fees would apply to these courses if you live in these areas:
