About this course
Sculpture Next Steps is a course that will help expand your skills and show you how you can confidently create large scale sculptures. You will be introduced to a variety of materials that sculptors use to create their work. Using air dry clay and other materials such as wood and natural materials you will then create your own large scale sculpture(s).
Over the course of the 5 weeks, you will learn about various materials and tools sculptors use. You will also learn how to successfully design and develop ideas to make your own large scale sculptures using air dry clay, other materials and the appropriate tools.
By the end of the course, you will:
Build confidence using clay techniques.
Build confidence using tools and equipment for clay.
Create your very own large scale sculpture(s).
Build confidence in working with others to help integrate into a work environment.
Understand costing your work for selling purposes.

To enrol on one of our courses, you must have been living in England and have been resident in the UK for the past 3 years.
Some exceptions may apply if you are living in England with evidence of the right to remain and are from an EEU EEAU country (completion of a questionnaire will be required). As we no longer receive funding for our ESFA funded courses for learners living in the devolved areas listed below, full cost fees would apply to these courses if you live in these areas:
