This course is designed for anyone who cares for children or works with children who may have SEND in Nottinghamshire. Some of the procedures will be discussed and outside agency details given.
This course will help you to explore how children with SEND are supported in Nottinghamshire. We will explore how the funding is different to other Counties. Parents and carers will be given information about what outside agencies are available, how they can contact them, what support schools can offer and what the legalities around children with SEND are.
Over the 6 sessions we will look at:
Funding for SEND children
EHCP’s
Support agencies parents can refer to
Support agencies schools can refer to
Legalities relating to the SEND Code of Conduct and Ofsted
The Local Offer, transition between schools, special schools in Notts and any other topics which learners have requested
No previous experience is necessary.
