About this course

About this course

Shinrin Yoku is the art of taking in or immersing oneself  in the forest atmosphere.  It has long been recognised as a way to reconnect with nature and to help relax from the stresses and worries of everyday life.

Shinrin Yoku involves mindfulness and encourages us to completely immerse ourselves in the forest atmosphere, using all our senses.

Join us for  this short 2 session  beginners’ course in the beautiful forest surroundings, to experience and explore  the benefits of Shinrin Yoku for yourself.  Please note, this course does not run  on consecutive weeks, there is a session on 3rd  Oct and a further session on 7th Nov 2022.

This course is programmed as part of the Miner2Major Landscape Partnership scheme, supported by the National Lottery Heritage Fund.

Sessions  may involve walking over uneven ground, so may not be suitable for anyone with mobility issues.   Please bring a drink and wear clothing and footwear suitable for outdoor walking and possible inclement weather.

This course is for two sessions on the 3rd of October and 7th of November - not on the weeks between
