About this course

On this course you will learn how to draw, paint, and use Mixed Media to produce pieces of Art. You will learn the basics of art history, and the importance of Art within the world around us. You will learn how to produce a sketchbook/ portfolio, and how to develop your artistic skills for future goals.

What will be covered on the course? Learners will cover the following:

Mark making
Colour theory
Portrait Drawing
Landscape Drawing
Drawing, painting, and Mixed media art.
Planning, Designing, and creating a sketchbook/ Portfolio/ Own Project
Reflective practice in relation to one’s own artwork.

What will learners achieve by the end of the course?

You will achieve a range of Art Techniques and have a good theoretical knowledge of Art within History and Culture. You will develop a portfolio and sketchbook, and the skills to become a reflective practitioner.

Learners should bring:

Paper/ Pens/ Pencils/ Coloured Pencils
Optional: Paints, Pastels.

As this course is online, a suitable device such as laptop, smart phone, tablet or computer will be required to access the course. Zoom will be used for the live sessions and the link will be sent to you once your enrolment has been completed.
