About this course

This course is an intermediate to sugar craft flower making. You will progress with familiar skills and learn new techniques using sugar florist paste to produce winter aconite flowers the perfect edition to any celebration cake during the springtime.

What will learners achieve by the end of the course?

Produce the centre stamens for the winter aconite
Produce the inner layer of petals to secure the stamens of the winter aconite
Produce the petals adding texture and realism
Produce the calyx for the winter aconite
Learn how to dust the flower to add dimension

Learners will have produced a winter aconite flower to enhance any Springtime celebration cake.

Resources required by attendees:

Floral paste by squires- Yellow and green
Snowdrop cutter – the outer edge of the Snowdrop cutter
Daisy Cutter
26-gauge wire
Rolling pin
Edible glue
Edible tints- Yellow- primrose, or sugartex and green
Tweezers
Ball tool
Fine scissors
Wire cutters
Dresden tool
Cocktail stick
Stamens white or Cotton white
Floral tape green
Foam mat
Paintbrushes
