This hands-on, industry-focused UX/UI course equips learners with practical skills in user research, wireframing, prototyping, and interface design. Using Figma and real-world briefs, learners will also build a professional portfolio and gain experience applying human-centred design principles. Ideal for those looking to break into digital design or strengthen their creative and technical toolkit.
The UX/UI Level 3 Certificate is designed to equip you with essential skills and knowledge in user experience (UX) and user interface (UI) design. UX is the experience a user has when interacting with a product or service. UI design focuses on the visual and interactive elements of a product.
There are six mandatory units:
1. Introduction to User Experience (UX)
2. The User-Centred Design (UCD) Process
3. User Research
4. User Experience (UX) Design
5. User Interface (UI) Design
6. UX/UI Design in Practice It is delivered online, with live sessions via Teams.
You will need to attend every session with your camera on, four days a week in the evenings. A basic knowledge of coding/web design could be beneficial, but not essential. Upon completion, you could seek employment in roles such as: UX Designer, UX Researcher, UI Designer or Content Strategist.

As this course is online, a suitable device such as laptop or computer will be required to access the course. The link for you to join the live sessions will be sent to you once your enrolment has been completed.

Residency in England
To book and enrol on one of our courses, you must be living in England permanently and live outside of the devolved areas listed below or live within the East Midlands Combined County Authority (EMCCA) devolved area (Nottinghamshire, Derbyshire).

Residency Eligibility – other criteria
If you are living in the UK on a visa we will require evidence of this in order to be funded for the course, you can upload this evidence when you apply for the course. (completion of a questionnaire will be required).
Some exceptions may apply for example
Your visa expiry date must be beyond the end of your course
Asylum seekers must have lived in the UK for 6 months or longer while their claim is being considered by the Home Office
You are receiving local authority support under section 23C or section 23CA of the Children Act 1989 or the Care Act 2014
Any learner who is not funded full cost fees would apply to these courses.
