Discover the soothing world of watercolour painting in this four-week course designed to help you unwind, reduce stress, and express yourself through art. Whether you're a complete beginner or have some experience, this program will guide you through gentle techniques and creative exercises that encourage mindfulness and relaxation. Each week focuses on a different theme—ranging from foundational techniques to emotional expression and nature-inspired art.
During the course, you'll explore the flow and beauty of watercolour, learning how to create soft, calming compositions with minimal effort. We’ll cover fundamental techniques, colour blending, intuitive painting exercises, and serene compositions that promote peace and mindfulness. Each session will focus on helping you enjoy the process.
Over the course you will get comfortable and confident with watercolour materials, explore and develop techniques and experiment with colour harmony.
By the end of the course, you will be able to:
Apply at least four foundational watercolour techniques—such as wet-on-wet, wet-on-dry, colour blending and glazing—to create soft, calming visual effects.
Produce a personal collection of at least four watercolour artworks that reflect themes of nature, emotion, and tranquillity.
Select and use colour intentionally to represent a range of emotional states, demonstrating an understanding of colour theory.
Experiment with abstract and representational forms to explore personal themes of calm, nature, and inner peace.
Use watercolour techniques to create expressive artwork that reflects a personal sense of relaxation and creativity.
