Skills Bootcamps

Our Skills Bootcamps – part of the Government’s Lifetime Skills Guarantee and Plan for Jobs, are flexible courses of up to 16 weeks, giving people the opportunity to build up sector specific skills and fast track to an interview with a local employer.

Skills Bootcamps

Our Skills Bootcamp in Coding or User Experience & User Interface (UX/UI) run over 12 weeks. Along the way you will benefit from support in finding employment in the sector, and at the end you will receive an NCFE Level 3 Certificate in either Coding Practices or UX/UI. These Bootcamps are FREE to all adults over the age of 19* - employed or unemployed.

There are no entry requirements or experience necessary, plus you'll get FREE specialist support into IT/Software careers!

What you'll learn

Coding Skills Bootcamp

  • Python, HTML, CSS, SQL and PHP (as well as some C#)
  • Coding requirements and planning
  • Understand coding design
  • Implementation of coding
  • Software testing
  • Understand deployment, maintenance and configuration management

UX/UI Skills Bootcamp

  • Introduction to User Experience (UX)
  • The user-centred design (USD) process
  • User research
  • User experience (UX) design
  • User interface (UI) design
  • User Experience/User Interface (UX/UI) design in practice
