Manufactured lace had a momentous impact on Nottingham, helping to change a county town into a modern centre of industry. Workshops, factories, warehouses, streets, housing, parks and public buildings were all transformed by the lace industry. This talk by Chris Matthews, based on an existing guided walk, will show the sheer scale and speed of this change.
