An epic journey through a Miniscule world...

An animated ant and ladybird walking on the ground. They both have large white eyes

Explore the world of mini-beasts, shadows and animation in this new Small World Experience, inspiring creativity through film

Join us for a fun and creative morning celebrating the tiny creatures that make a big difference to our planet. We’ll be crafting colourful bug-tastic headbands decorated with beetles, butterflies, and other creepy crawlies—perfect for little nature lovers to wear during the film!

We’ll also play with light and shadow, using cut-out insects to create magical projections and fluttering silhouettes on the big screen.

Our featured film is the charming French animation Minuscule: Valley of the Ants — a beautifully crafted, dialogue-free adventure that brings the insect world to life. When a box of sugar sparks a war between rival ant colonies, a brave little ladybug teams up with a black ant to save the day. Expect laughs, excitement, and a surprisingly epic journey through the grasslands.

This event is ideal for families and suitable for ages 5+

Craft Activity: 20 minutes.  Film run time: 90 minutes starting at 10:30am
