Worksop Library Fun Palace 2024

We're excited to announce the 2024 return of our ever-popular Fun Palace! Worksop Library will join hundreds of Fun Palaces nationally and internationally set to explode with FREE and FUN activities for all! 

Come along and be part of the the fun as you try out different arts, science, music and cultural activities aimed at anyone of any age. 

Here are just some of things to do and see on the day: 

• Have fun crafting and creating with From the Heart Charity, Mr Straw's House and Clumber Park National Trust
• Build a bug from clay with the Harley Gallery
• Get hands on with history-based crafts from Bassetlaw Museum
• Try out amazing science busking tricks with Ignite
• Check out the UK Atomic Energy Authority's giant plasma ball!
• Build your own snap circuits or try out a VR headset brought to you by the University of Sheffield's Women in Engineering Society
• Join Veolia for recycling fun and games
• Make your own skeleton with Notts Community Health Champions
• Experience sensory play with Now Church Langold including Mini Beasts, Autumn Animals and Playdoh Hedgehogs
• Drop in for Little Creatives fun - especially for the Under 5s

Also enjoy:

• Badge making, code-a-pillars and giant games
• Stone painting with BCVS
• Nature crafts from the Oasis Community Centre and Inspire Learning
• A special drop-in family art workshop, alongside our I Am An Artist exhibition in the library's gallery
• Musical performances from Dukeries Ukeries Ukulele Group (starting at 10am) and Langold Dyscarr School Choir (starting at 11am)
• Have a go instruments and a musical finale from The Red Hot Band (performances starting at 12.30pm and 2.10pm)
