Getting to Nottinghamshire Archives

Nottinghamshire Archives is a five-minute walk from Nottingham Station. From the Station, turn right onto Carrington Street. Cross Carrington Street at the zebra crossing and turn left along the canal towpath (passing the Magistrates Court).

The path forks opposite the old British Waterways warehouse, take the left-hand path leading away from the canal. Nottinghamshire Archives is immediately on the left. For more information visit National Rail Enquiries or East Midlands Railway.

The nearest tram stop is Nottingham Station. Follow the directions above. For information on timetables and tickets, visit NET. 

Alight at Carrington Street (outside Nottingham station) or Broadmarsh Shopping Centre and follow the walking directions from Nottingham Train Station or from the city centre. For information about travelling by bus in Nottingham visit Nottingham City Transport, Trent Barton Buses or YourBus. 

From Broadmarsh Centre turn right onto Collin Street. Cross Collin Street and continue past Ocean nightclub until you reach another set of traffic lights. Cross onto the traffic island and then cross again so that you are facing the Parexel building. Turn right and then take an immediate left onto Wilford Street. After 100m you cross a canal bridge. Nottinghamshire Archives is on your left after the bridge.

Currently there is very limited parking available for customers at Nottinghamshire Archives.  Please book all parking at the time of making your visit booking.

There are also plenty of city centre car parks available nearby.  The nearest car parks are Nottingham Train Station or NCP Arndale Centre, NG1 6AE. For further information visit  NCP.

From M1

Follow A453, Queens Drive, Wilford Street. At traffic lights turn right onto Castle Meadow Road (before crossing canal bridge).  Immediately turn left into our car park.  Please note the entrance is concealed from the road and you have gone too far if you reach the small island.

From City Centre

From Castle Boulevard / Maid Marian Way follow the new one-way system via Greyfriar Gate onto Wilford Street. At the traffic lights after the canal bridge turn left onto Castle Meadow Road. Immediately turn left into our car park.  Please note the entrance is concealed from the road and you have gone too far if you reach the small island.
