Bike Parking

Retford Library has a bicycle rack at the front of the library, adjacent to the main entrance. This is for pedal cycles only.

ICT improvements at Retford Library are now complete. Please visit our new booking system if you would like to reserve a computer.

Other exciting improvements at our library include upgraded PCs, enhanced WiFi, print from your own device (at home or on the move) and contactless payments.

Important notices

Likely Disruption due to Building Works at Various Libraries

Due to the installation of CCTV software at various libraries, we expect to experience temporary disruptions to our regular services.

The works will take place at the following libraries on these dates for the duration of one week:

Beeston - Week commencing Monday 8 June

Arnold - Week commencing Monday 15 June

Retford - Week commencing Monday 22 June

Newark - Week commencing Monday 29 June

We apologise for any inconvenience caused by the following:

  • Increased noise levels
  • Temporary inaccessibility to various areas of the library
  • Occasional disturbance to the power supply which may affect our WiFi and public PCs

Care will be taken to ensure that these disruptions are avoided or minimised wherever possible.

Each library will remain open as normal whilst these works are undertaken.
