Crime Author Talk - Tom Mead

Come along to meet and hear from Derbyshire mystery writer and aficionado of Golden Age Crime Fiction Tom Mead as we celebrate National Crime Reading Month throughout June at Stapleford library with a series of author talks from local crime writers.

Tom's debut novel, DEATH AND THE CONJUROR, was an international bestseller, nominated for several awards, and named one of the best mysteries of the year by The Guardian and Publishers Weekly. Its sequel, THE MURDER WHEEL, was described as “pure nostalgic pleasure” by the Wall Street Journal and “a delight” by the Daily Mail.

Join us to meet and hear from local crime author Zoe Sharp, best known for her Charlie Fox crime thriller series, as she tells us all about her writing and passion for strong female lead characters, including those in her latest release 'The Girl in the Dark' from the Blake and Byron series.

Rattle, Rhyme and Roll

Thursday Mornings - Term Time Only

11.15am to 11.45am

Our Rattle, Rhyme and Roll sessions are relaxed, friendly rhyme sessions for babies and toddlers. 

They are a chance for you to have fun, share rhymes and songs with your child, and meet other parents.

Sessions last about 30 minutes and are free.

Stay after our regular groups for little ones and socialise with other parents and toddlers.

A selection of toys are put out for children and toddlers to enjoy and it’s a chance to make new friends in a safe and fun environment.
