Welcome to Toton Library!

Visit us during our normal opening times for a great range of stock, as well as events and activities for all the family - ask a member of staff for details!

Join us at our regular events and groups! On Wednesday mornings, we host two Rhyme, Rattle, and Roll sessions (10am - 10:30am for child minders and 11am - 11:30am parents/carers) —relaxed and friendly rhyme sessions for babies and toddlers, offering a fun way to share rhymes and songs with your child while connecting with other parents. Our Stay and Play sessions on Wednesday mornings from 11:30am - 12:30pm provide a safe and enjoyable space for children and toddlers to play with a variety of toys while parents have the chance to make new friends. On Fridays 10:30am - 12pm, everyone is welcome at our Places of Welcome group, where you can meet new people, reconnect with your community, and enjoy friendly conversations.

Important notices

Online catalogue disruption - Sunday 31 May

Due to an error identified by our supplier, the online library catalogue is currently experiencing some issues. Our supplier is working hard to rectify the issue as soon as possible. We apologise for any inconvenience caused.

Update 01.06.26: The online catalogue is now available, however users may encounter problems in performance while our suppliers resolve the issue.

ICT issues currently affecting all libraries

We're currently experiencing some technical difficulties across our libraries which is affecting our booking out system, online catalogue and public PCs.

Please use our self serve kiosks where possible and be aware that our online catalogue is currently not allowing customers to login. There are also logging in issues for customers wishing to use our public PCs, which is an intermittent issue at the moment.

Borrower notifications (pre-overdue, overdue and reservations) will be temporarily suspended from Midday Saturday 30 May whilst the library system supplier carries out essential software updates. The disruption is expected to last several days. We will provide further updates when more information is available.

We apologise for any inconvenience caused.
