Autumn Crafts - Worksop Library - Adult Learning

The Autumn Craft course will give you the opportunity to explore a range of materials and processes to create a selection of beautiful Autumn inspired, decorative products for your home. The course is suitable for all abilities and is a fun way to get creative and try out new ideas and techniques. Each week we will have fun exploring different processes and will create a range of products which you can take home. You will learn through demonstrations, personal experimentation and individual tuition. By the end of the course, everyone will have explored and gained confidence in using a range of decorative techniques and will have produced a collection of unique Autumn themed products.

During the course, we will make a variety of eye-catching Autumn themed products. We will begin our first session by making miniature pumpkins, manipulating wool and twine to create simple pumpkin decorations which will look wonderful on display in your home. During our second session, we will create charming decorative light jars, experimenting with decoupage and paints to make beautiful patterns and designs. For learners attending the three-week course, we will also create leaf garlands using felt in a range of autumnal colours.

Resources required:

Week 1 - twine or wool in autumnal colours, empty toilet roll tube, hot glue gun, scissors, masking tape, cinnamon sticks or small twigs

Week 2 - selection of glass jars, pressed autumn leaves, PVA glue, brush, glass or acrylic paints / pens

Week 3 - felt squares in an assortment of autumn colours, hot glue gun, long piece of yarn / string, large needle

Residency Requirements (Additional Information)

If you live in the UK on a visa, we’ll need evidence of your visa to confirm funding. You can upload this when applying, and you’ll need to complete a short questionnaire.

Some exceptions include:

• Your visa must last until after your course ends.

• Asylum seekers must have lived in the UK for at least 6 months while their claim is being processed.

• You are supported by your local authority under Section 23C or 23CA of the Children Act 1989, or under the Care Act 2014.

Anyone who does not meet the funding criteria would need to pay full course fees.Funding and Fees
