About this course

This 2-hour session will cover the basics of shopping online. It is aimed at people new to shopping online who just want to know a little more about shopping safely and demystify some of the ‘ways to pay’ jargon.  laptops will be available during the session.  This is a very basic session for beginners.

Course content

• Ways to pay - learn more about the different ways to pay
• Security risks such as authentication, cyber threats, and scams
• Learn how to spot a fake website

Having the confidence to shop online will allow you to access online delivery services, comparison websites – which can save you money – and government services (car tax, childcare vouchers, other benefits). The session will be paced to suit people new to online shopping.

To secure your place on the course BOTH the following must be done:

• Complete the EVENTBRITE BOOKING.
• Complete our INSPIRE ONLINE ENROLMENT FORM for each person attending the course.

To book and enrol on one of our courses, you must have been living in England and have been resident in the UK for the past 3 years.

Some exceptions may apply if you are living in England with evidence of the right to remain and are from an EEU/EEAU country (completion of a questionnaire will be required).
