About this course

This course will give you the tools you need start your business and write a business plan.  


Delivered by someone with almost 20 years business experience, this course will cover: 


Registering your business; understanding your market; creating a customer profile; developing a marketing strategy; brand identity; sales; understanding the business finances; the practical stuff like contracts and all the other tools you need to get your business idea off the ground.


This online course aims to give you the tools you need to write your business plan and start your business. On this course we break down all the facets of your business that you need to think about in order to write a thorough and detailed business plan. On this course we will delve into your business idea or start up looking at everything from your marketing to your finances. 


Covering: The nuts and bolts of your business, understanding the business finances and start up costs, defining your market, customer profile, competitor analysis, marketing strategy, branding, your responsibilities as a business owner and avoiding burnout (plus a myriad of other things).


What will learners achieve by the end of the course? 

  • The learner should confidently be able to write their business plan, establish goals for their business and themselves and launch themselves into self employment after completing this course. 

As this course is online, a suitable device such as laptop, smart phone, tablet or computer will be required to access the course.  Zoom will be used for the live sessions and the link will be sent to you once your enrolment has been completed

To secure your place on the course BOTH the following must be done:

  • Complete the EVENTBRITE BOOKING.
  • Complete our INSPIRE ONLINE ENROLMENT FORM for each person attending the course.

You should be redirected to the Inspire Online Enrolment Form after completing the Eventbrite booking.  If you are not redirected, please use the link supplied in the Eventbrite booking confirmation email.

To book and enrol on one of our courses, you must have been living in England and have been resident in the UK for the past 3 years.

Some exceptions may apply if you are living in England with evidence of the right to remain and are from an EEU/EEAU country (completion of a questionnaire will be required).

As we no longer receive funding for our ESFA-funded courses for learners living in the devolved areas listed below, full cost fees would apply to these courses if you live in these areas:
