About this course

Do you enjoy listening to radio plays? In this course we will develop and practice the writing skills you need to write a short 5-10 minute radio play: how to devise a plot that works for sound, how to build a three-act structure plus creating distinctive characters and having a go at dialogue. It is helpful, but not necessary, to have done some creative writing before.   

During this course, we will look at how to create a plot that works for radio with a distinct beginning, middle and ending.  We will also develop a compelling mix of characters for your play, and situations in which they will express their individual drama.  

We will also look at how a radio play script is presented professionally, for example to the BBC 

Learners should bring a pen and notepad preferably A4
